Pet Insurance

Pet insurance has been available in Connecticut since the early 1990’s. Recently there have been numerous entries into the market by several companies each with a unique product and rate. Most companies require the pet owner to first pay their veterinarian, and then submit the required documentation before reimbursing the owner within a week to several weeks later. Before buying pet insurance, do an internet search under “pet insurance” to compare each company’s offerings. Advanced Veterinary Care will work with your insurance company to provide the necessary documentation to help settle your claim. Our staff can also help guide you in your choice of an insurance company if you have difficulty deciding. We do not sell pet insurance of any kind. We accept Mastercard, Visa or Care Credit cards. If you do not have pet insurance or if your credit is unavailable to pay your bill, you may want to consider Care Credit. Care Credit is a medical credit card for people and their pets. They have many plans including deferred interest accounts and they have a fairly liberal acceptance policy.
